Answer: John Hill, Chicago attorney, who purchased the land that would become Little Point Sable in 1902. He platted the LPS North Plat that year and opened the Old Orchard Lodge in 1904 [the beginning of LPS].

Do you have some old (or recent) Point photos that you would like to have appear on this page?
If so, please send them (preferably as .jpg e-mail attachments), along with the appropriate photo identifications, to us at: thethompsongp@aol.com.

Share your photos.
Please send us copies of your Point photos and other Point-related memorabilia!
Several Pointers already have sent us photos and memorabilia. If we were to receive many more from the large number that most Pointers have, we could create a great Point and local area photo collection - for the benefit of all Pointers and their families. Please contribute to this effort!
We are in the process of creating and producing a Point history/photo album/book and a Point DVD, which will contain Point photographs, descriptions, articles, dedication, social, and talent show programs, and other commemorative items. We would greatly appreciate your input. If you have any - old or new - Point-related materials that you could share with your fellow Pointers, please send them, preferably as .jpg (.jpeg) e-mail attachments (your originals will never have to leave your control) or by regular mail if you prefer (see Members List; we'll be sure to return your originals), along with appropriate descriptions, to us at: thethompsongp@aol.com.
We'll include as many as we can in the album/book and on the DVD. Details regarding their availability and costs will be listed as soon as an adequate number of items are gathered and the exact costs of producing them are known.
